Jaipur : Day1 – 2
Hawa Mahal
Sighing the illuminated Hawa Mahal pinched my consciousness “Am at rajasthan. Am at Rajasthan..” that too after health jeopardy huhuhuh. Crafted as Krishna crown with several storey for the royal ladies to enjoy the city happenings with a underground connecting to city Palace. Happened to view this vibrant colored beauty around 6 AM next day owning the place just myself & here it begins the “Queenish feeling” & felt like grabbing the mahal and crowning myself. Several roof top cafes are available around to relish the treat to eyes & also a good stop for street shopping. Hop on & shop on!
Ended up with Autowalla choice as he refused me to take to Nahargarh fort for sunrise. Glanced at pink city night life & dawn view. Not very appreciating, moment decided no matter whatever happens “No Disappointment”, it’s “OK” to carry this attitude for next 11 days.
Jal mandhir was shining with a golden hue in the early hours with its hidden architecture & pigeons flying around. Lots of birds showing some flying stunts & a good spot for wedding/couple photography
Amber Palace
Enroute had typical Rajasthani breakfast katchori/jilebi/tea .Got the tickets and spent around 2 hours by taking the walking trail. Before entering the trail could see the colorful elephant’s touring. 2 old Japanese ladies and cops contributed good pictures to my kitty. Arched fences, stellar pillars, Aravalli range views, mirror rooms, wall paintings, gardens are the most exciting parts. Post the tour saw a tower at a distant to climb, but couldn’t find the entrance. Opposite to the fort is a small tower where we can climb to view the complete fort view (must attempt)
Janta Mantar
A place which shouldn’t be missed if in Jaipur, Before walking around through, attend the video session which helps everyone understands the equipment laid out there. The astronomical/celestial/time calculations will keep awe jawed on the intelligence laid during 18 century, a total brain exploder.
Meena Ka kund
Small step tank has its own beauty & less populated one. Guards around there don’t allow you to get into the steps. Sit back & relax, may be count the steps or find the patterns of the symmetrical structure.
